CORRIDA NOTURNA MITOS - GATO PRETO

On October 31, 2026, the Parque Madureira in Rio de Janeiro will host a unique and meaningful race that combines athletic challenge with community support. The event features both a 4 km run and a 4 km walk, designed to engage participants of all fitness levels while raising funds for those in need.
This charity-driven initiative supports two important projects: Coração Que Ajuda (Helping Heart) and Café na Tenda (Café at the Tent), which aim to provide essential aid to families and institutions facing hardship. Participants can contribute by bringing one kilogram of non-perishable food or other necessary items such as hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and clothing during kit pickup.
The race day will see runners and walkers starting from Parque Madureira’s scenic grounds at 6:00 PM, winding through the park's lush trails under twilight skies. The course is designed to showcase the beauty of this vibrant green space in Rio de Janeiro while promoting a spirit of unity and giving back to the community.
Registration for both individual runners and walkers opens on June 22, 2026, and closes on October 29, 2026, or when spots are filled. Participants can choose between a basic kit that includes a t-shirt along with their race number and finisher medal for R$75 plus site fees and one kilogram of non-perishable food, or the simpler participation kit which costs R$45 under similar conditions.
Kit pickup will take place on October 30 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Parque Madureira’s Administrative Office near the Olympic Arches. It is crucial that participants bring all necessary documents and required donations for a smooth process.
