Community Unity Run

On Sunday, November 15, 2026, the Phoenix community comes together for the second annual Phoenix Pride Community Unity 5K Walk/Run. This inclusive event celebrates diversity and unity by inviting runners of all ages and skill levels to participate in a meaningful journey that supports visibility and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies.
The race route winds through vibrant neighborhoods in downtown Phoenix, offering scenic views as participants make their way along the chip-timed course. Each finisher will receive a custom event medal and dri-fit tech t-shirt upon completion of the 5K distance. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers across various age categories (8 & Under through 80+), with no gender specification, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance at recognition.
Beyond individual accolades, there is a strong emphasis on community involvement and fundraising efforts. The event aims to raise $45,000 by having each of the anticipated 450 participants collect a minimum donation of $100 in support of Phoenix Pride's mission for Arizona’s LGBTQ+ community. Special awards will be presented to the top overall finisher, largest team, best-dressed team, and most successful individual and team fundraisers.
Race day features pre- and post-race refreshments at Charlie's Phoenix, where participants can enjoy a "Runner's Brunch" complete with granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, and more. The event is managed by StartLine Racing, ensuring smooth operations from registration to the awards ceremony.
Registration opens on race day starting at 8:00 AM at Charlie’s Phoenix located at 727 W Camelback Road in Phoenix, AZ. Wheelchair users, stroller pushers, wagons, and leashed pets are welcome, though roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are prohibited for safety reasons.
