Clowbridge 5k - Spring 3/3

Join us for an electrifying Trail 5k race around Clowbridge Reservoir on April 29, 2027. This fast and flat course offers runners stunning views of the Pennine Bridleway as they complete two laps anti-clockwise from the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club in Burnley. With only a modest elevation gain of 25 meters over the 5km distance, this race is perfect for both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike.
Registration opens at 6:15 PM, with the start time set for 7 PM sharp. The well-organized event features clear marshalling along the route to ensure safety and smooth navigation around the reservoir's scenic paths. Participants can look forward to a lively atmosphere as they compete alongside fellow runners in this weekly series that spans three Thursdays in April.
Parking is available at the Sailing Club’s lower car park or further down Limey Lane, closer to the Reservoir entrance. The proceeds from the race will be donated to local causes, making your participation not only enjoyable but also impactful for the community.
