Christmas Night Run @ Prison Break Market

Join us on Friday, December 4th, for a magical evening of festive fun and community spirit at the Christmas Night Run! This annual celebration under the stars invites runners and walkers to light up the trails around Prison Break Market with headlamps and holiday outfits. The event features two routes: a family-friendly 3km trail run and a scenic 10km course through picturesque landscapes. Participants in the longer distance have an extra treat – catch Santa at the finish line for a chance to win prizes! Bring your friends, family, and even furry running buddies for an unforgettable night filled with live music, festive shopping, delicious food stalls, and entertainment suitable for all ages. Don't forget to dress up as your favorite Christmas character or come in something completely creative; there are awards for the best dressed male, female, family, team, and overall holiday spirit! Entry fees range from R80 for the 3km run (free entry for kids under six) to R220 for the 10km event. Online entries close on December 2nd, with late registration available but without medal eligibility. Additionally, this year’s event supports Kids Haven by encouraging participants to bring a wrapped gift valued between R20 and R100 for children aged three to sixteen years old. Join us in making the holiday season brighter for those in need!
