About the Event

Running enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, are invited to participate in the Cambridge Cambourne 10k. This race offers a perfect blend of challenge and accessibility, catering equally well to those who enjoy longer distances as it does to runners seeking something more manageable.
For this year's event, organizers have added a brand-new 5k course designed for participants looking for an enjoyable yet achievable distance without the commitment of the full marathon length. Additionally, the Cambridge Cambourne Fun Run offers a shorter option at about one mile (1.6km), making it ideal for younger runners or those who prefer something less strenuous.
The race takes place on scenic trails around Cambourne and welcomes all ages – from 15 years old for the main event to as young as five years, with adult accompaniment, for the Fun Run. Water stations are conveniently placed at both the halfway point (5k) and the finish line to keep runners hydrated throughout their journey.
All participants can look forward to accurate chip-timing, ensuring a fair competition, while medals will be awarded to everyone who crosses the finish line. Prizes will also be given out for top performers in various categories.
Beyond the race itself, visitors have the opportunity to explore the historic City of Cambridge after completing their run and enjoy its rich cultural offerings and beautiful architecture. The event supports local charities through donations, adding an extra layer of significance to each stride taken along the trail.
This year’s race is proudly sponsored by Peningtons, enhancing the overall experience for all participants.
For more detailed information about registration and logistics, interested runners can visit the official race website.
