Join us on Sunday, May 23, 2027, for the Buttevant RC 4 Mile Road Race. The race kicks off at 10:30 AM with participants starting their journey along R580 near the end of town on Kanturk road. This scenic looped course features a challenging climb between miles two and three before descending back toward the finish line near Buttevant GAA Pitch.
Race day amenities include ample parking close to Race HQ at the Buttevant GAA Complex, where an off-road warm-up area is also available for runners to stretch their legs. The event offers cash prizes for the top male and female finishers as well as category prize winners, with special recognition going to those who break the existing course records held by Sean Doyle (19:49) and Carol Finn (23:22).
In addition to individual accolades, there's a team competition where the first four club members finishing in the highest positions collectively win both cash prizes and a perpetual trophy for their efforts. Post-race festivities will take place at Buttevant GAA Hall, featuring hospitality and prize-giving ceremonies.
