Burney Mountain 100

4:30 AM start. Dawn over Lassen National Forest. Panoramic views of Mount Lassen and Mount Shasta. The Burney Mountain 100 returns to Cassel, California, on Friday, June 19, 2026. A looped course through the Thousand Lakes Wilderness and Burney Basin. 100 miles, 15,000 ft cumulative elevation gain. Rocky ridgelines, lush forest floor, lava flows, and vast Hat Creek Rim. Free dry camping for runners and crew at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch (Thursday through Saturday). No refunds, but generous deferral policy — defer for any reason up to one week before race day, or transfer registration up to one day prior to start.

Camping & Accommodations:

• Free dry camping for all runners and crew at Burney Mountain Guest Ranch — Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights included (cost covered by Intermountain Endurance)
• Upgrade options available through ranch owners ($25 discount for all runners)
• Ranch amenities: restaurant, salt water pool, laundry, corn hole, and more

Trail Work Requirement:

• 2026: trail work not yet required, but there will be an incentive for participants who complete 8 hours of trail work before the race
• 2027: trail work will become a requirement to participate

• Runner's Guide available on website with aid station locations, drop bag info, crew access points, and pacer rules
• Post‑race meal provided for runners
