Brian Head Trailfest

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Southern Utah’s high country with the Brian Head Trailfest, featuring two challenging trail races: the 50K and 30K. Set against the stunning backdrop of red rock formations and golden aspen forests at the Brian Head Ski Resort, these courses offer runners a unique blend of scenic vistas and technical terrain.
The 50K route is a looped course that winds through rugged ski slopes, ridgelines, and an alpine lake, offering panoramic views from its highest peak. With over 10,100 feet in elevation on average, the race promises dramatic scenery and varied trail conditions, including singletrack paths and ATV trails.
The 30K is a point-to-point out-and-back course that starts with a steep ascent up ski slopes before traversing scenic ridgelines to reach the Sidney Peaks Aid Station. Runners will then retrace their steps back down Brian Head Peak for an exhilarating finish at the resort’s Giant Steps Lodge.
Both races are designed for experienced trail runners, challenging them over rugged terrain and rewarding them with stunning mountain views. The event is a must-attend for anyone looking to test their limits in one of Utah's most picturesque settings.
Participants will enjoy well-stocked aid stations featuring Precision Fuel and Hydration products, ensuring they have the necessary support throughout the race day. With cutoff times set at 12 hours for the 50K and 10 hours for the 30K, runners can push their boundaries while knowing there’s ample time to take in the beauty of Southern Utah.
Packet pickup details will be communicated well ahead of the event date, likely taking place on Friday afternoon before race day at Giant Steps Lodge. Race participants will receive a bib and t-shirt along with other swag from sponsors, adding an extra touch of excitement to their pre-race preparations.
