Set against the dramatic backdrop of Arizona’s iconic landscapes, the Page Marathon and Ultra Weekend invites runners to explore some of the most breathtaking vistas in North America. The 50 Mile race weaves through rugged desert terrain and slickrock paths before reaching Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, two natural wonders renowned for their otherworldly beauty. After conquering these awe-inspiring landmarks, participants enjoy a smoother single-track journey around Page’s plateau, offering panoramic views of Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam.
The 55K route shares many highlights with its longer counterpart but offers runners an equally memorable experience. It features a challenging desert traverse to Horseshoe Bend before concluding on smooth trails that encircle Page’s scenic plateau, providing stunning vistas at every turn.
For those seeking a more manageable yet no less spectacular journey, the half marathon ascends and circumnavigates the city of Page’s elevated terrain, presenting runners with fast single-track sections and breathtaking views of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam. Each distance offers a unique blend of challenging terrain and unparalleled scenery that will leave participants in awe.
The event weekend kicks off on Friday evening at the expo where runners can pick up their packets from 5 pm to 7 pm at Page Shores Amphitheater, complete with cultural presentations by Red Heritage. Race day, Saturday, October 9th, sees early starts for each race distance: 50 Mile beginning at 5:45 am MST and the Half Marathon starting just after sunrise at 7:30 am.
