The Race Day offers an exciting array of events for participants of all ages and skill levels. The day kicks off with races designed specifically for young athletes, providing both fun and challenge on the trails around town. For children aged 4 to 7 years old (born between 2018 and 2021), there's a unique individual event combining running and cycling over a distance of 1.5 kilometers. While not timed competitively, participants will still enjoy a friendly ranking system that adds an element of excitement. Moving on to the more competitive side for slightly older children aged 8 to 10 years old (born between 2017 and 2015), teams compete in relay races where one member runs while the other rides a mountain bike. The total course length is approximately 2.8 kilometers, with each team's time recorded as they complete their laps. For young athletes aged 11 to 15 years old (born between 2014 and 2010), another relay event awaits them on the day. Teams of two must navigate a combined running and cycling course that stretches over 4.8 kilometers in total, with an elevation gain of 600 meters along the way. In the afternoon from 2:00 PM onwards, adult participants (ages 15 and up) have three challenging options to choose from: The "La Buccoline" event involves teams of two where one member runs a 10-kilometer course with an elevation gain of 200 meters before passing the baton to their teammate who then rides a mountain bike for approximately 16 kilometers, climbing another 400 meters. This race is open to participants aged 15 and older. The "Yann Roquet" individual event sees runners tackling a tough course on foot first, covering 10 kilometers with an elevation gain of 200 meters before switching gears for 16 kilometers of mountain biking with another 400-meter climb. This race is exclusive to participants aged 18 and older (born in or prior to the year 2007). Lastly, there's a trail running event where solo runners take on a challenging course that spans 10 kilometers with an elevation gain of 200 meters. Each race offers unique terrain challenges, scenic views, and opportunities for participants to test their endurance against varied landscapes. Whether you're racing as part of a team or individually, the day promises thrilling competition and memorable experiences amidst picturesque settings.
