Belgian Waffle Ride Arizona
About the event
Welcome to the fifth annual Belgian Waffle Ride Arizona, where cyclists converge on McDowell Mountain Park for an unforgettable weekend of challenging off-road adventure. This desert spectacle returns March 6–7, 2027, offering three distinct routes: the full Waffle, middle-distance Wafer, and shorter Wanna. Each course weaves through the Sonoran Desert's unique terrain—open gravel paths, sandy washes, twisting trails, and not-too-rocky stretches—all connected by brief respite on pavement.
The event is renowned for its creative challenges, from whoops to wonderous descents and wicked climbs that test riders' skills beyond mere physical endurance. The desert landscape provides a stunning backdrop of rugged beauty, while the camaraderie among participants adds an extra layer of enjoyment. Whether you're tackling the full distance or trying your hand at one of the shorter options, expect a weekend filled with Unroad riding, waffles, and well-deserved celebration.
This is more than just a race; it's a chance to experience the desert in all its glory and challenge yourself against some of Arizona’s most distinctive terrain.
