About the Event

On November 21, 2026, the Bedafloppet will take place as part of the Holland Cup Noords (HCN) series. This unique cross-country skiing event combines sprint qualifications on an artificial track and a pursuit race in sandy terrain.
The day begins with registration for participants at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, where start numbers are distributed along with necessary materials. The sprint qualification takes place on the synthetic ice rink, which measures 200 meters per lap. Based on the results of this initial race, competitors will be assigned a starting order for the pursuit stage in sand.
The sandy course is significantly longer at 900 meters per lap and varies depending on the category: youth up to age 18 compete over one round each of sprint and pursuit; G-sporters also complete one round in both stages. Participants in the Broad Sport D/H class will race two rounds for both sprints and pursuits, while those competing in the competitive Wedstrijd Klasse D/H face a more challenging four-round course.
Registration fees cover ski rental, poles, shoes, and several food vouchers to enjoy snacks at the event. Skis provided by organizers feature SNS bindings, but participants can bring their own footwear if preferred. Spectators are welcome to purchase refreshments on-site throughout the day.
The schedule is tightly packed with activities: after a morning of registration and practice runs, the sprint qualifications start promptly at 12:00 PM followed by an hour break before the pursuit race begins between 13:30 PM and 13:45 PM. The event concludes around 3:00 PM with prize distribution.
Entry fees range from €8 for youth up to age 18, G-sporters, and recreational participants down to a reduced rate of €7.50 for Bedaf members in the competitive categories. Regular admission is set at €12.50 for Broad Sport D/H and Wedstrijd Klasse D/H entrants.
