About the Event

Barrelman Triathlon invites athletes from around the globe to experience a unique blend of aquatic and land-based challenges on September 19, 2027. The race begins at the prestigious Welland International Flatwater Centre with a single-loop swim through calm waters, followed by an immediate transition up into the grandstands for a seamless start.
The half-distance bike course offers two loops along the well-paved Niagara Parkway, covering nearly 64 kilometers on closed roads, providing cyclists with a smooth and safe ride. The Olympic distance features 25 kilometers of road closures exclusively in Ontario, enhancing safety and performance conditions.
Runners will enjoy a mostly flat but challenging terrain with several hills that add character to this scenic route through the Niagara region. Post-race festivities include live music, free photos, age group awards, professional timing services, and post-event food for all participants. Barrelman also offers an elite wave prize purse, making it a must-attend event for seasoned triathletes.
Participants will receive a finisher's medal, barrel-themed hat, t-shirt, race tattoos, stickers, wristband, gear bags, bibs, and more as part of their registration package. For the latest updates on course details and age group prizing, visit Barrelman’s website before Race Weekend.
