In mid-December, when temperatures hover around 13°C during the day but can drop sharply at night, runners are treated to an atmospheric race course winding through Agde's historic center. The route follows a 6.706 km loop, challenging participants with its cobblestone streets and dark alleys under starlit skies. Each lap is designed to test endurance and mental fortitude as racers navigate the dimly lit pathways illuminated only by headlamps.
The race offers two formats: an "infinite" version where runners push their limits until they choose or must stop, and a more structured option with up to six loops totaling nearly 40 km. Both versions celebrate the legacy of Lazarus Lake's backyard ultra concept, which was introduced in Agde during early 2025.
