About the Event

Experience the fourth installment of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series, set against the stunning backdrop of Area 8 Conservation Area. This transformed former quarry offers runners an exhilarating journey along scenic trails that wind through rugged escarpments and lush greenery. The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities with various race distances designed to cater to diverse ambitions.
The morning kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with packet pickup, followed by the start of races at different intervals throughout the day. From hikers enjoying leisurely walks to competitive runners pushing their limits on challenging terrain, there's something for everyone. The event also includes kid-friendly races starting at 8:45 a.m., ensuring that all ages can join in the fun.
Before setting foot on the trails, participants are invited to acknowledge and honor the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, and Neutral Peoples. This thoughtful tribute sets the tone for an enriching experience rooted in respect and appreciation for Indigenous heritage.
Safety is a top priority, with rules prohibiting dogs, headphones, strollers, baby joggers, and nordic walking poles on race day to ensure everyone's well-being. Parking is conveniently located near the Start/Finish area, and admission fees are included as part of your registration package. Spectators will need to purchase park entry upon arrival.
Celebrate your achievement with custom swag and finisher medals available for purchase at registration, marking this event not just as a race but also an opportunity to connect with nature and community. Join us on July 17, 2027, for a day filled with breathtaking views and unforgettable moments along the trails of Area 8 Conservation Area.
Enjoy the journey through history and natural beauty at one of Ontario's newest trail running destinations.
