About the event

Après Trail invites runners and walkers to explore the serene landscapes of Tasmania's Derwent Valley on April 18, 2027. Participants can choose from four distances: half marathon, 10km run, 5km run, or a scenic 6km walk through private farmland and rural roads. The course features stunning views across Meadowbank Lake and the Dunrobin Bridge, as well as a challenging climb up to The Single Tree for panoramic vistas. After completing your chosen distance, freshen up at designated areas before heading to the historic Wool Shed precinct for an afternoon of celebration.
Enjoy live music, regional wine and spirits, and a specially curated menu by Braised Tasmania featuring six dishes from which you can choose three as part of your ticket inclusion. Additional food and drinks are available for purchase throughout the day. This event offers more than just a race; it's a full-day experience that combines breathtaking scenery with local hospitality.
Location: 6373 Lyell Highway, Ouse TAS 7140 (Derwent Valley), approximately an hour from Hobart. An optional donation at checkout supports children’s school holiday activities in the area.

Scenic view of

Tasmania is the island state of Australia, southeast of the mainland. Tasmania encompasses the main island of Tasmania, the 26th largest island in the world, and over 1000 smaller islands, both inhabited and uninhabited. It is the smallest state in Australia by both area and by population, with just over 500,000 permanent residents. Over 45% of Tasmania is protected by national parks and world heritage sites, and it features diverse climates, flora and fauna, many of which are found nowhere else in Australia, and a rich heritage, both Indigenous and post-colonial.
