ANDREA HOLDEN THANKSGIVING 5K ROAD RACE

Honoring the Legacy of Andrea Holden, the Annual Thanksgiving 5k Run/Walk returns for its 25th year on November 28, 2026. This beloved community event is organized by the non-profit Andrea Holden Foundation and aims to promote health and wellness among local children while commemorating the life of Andrea Holden, a cherished second-grader at Ezra Baker School who passed away tragically in 1990.
Participants gather on Scarsdale Road near Dennis Inn for this heartwarming event. The race kicks off promptly at 10:00 AM from the Dennis Inn and winds through scenic routes lined with vibrant fall foliage, offering runners a memorable experience as they celebrate Andrea's memory and contribute to her foundation’s mission of supporting children in need.
Registration is open to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. The race route features flat terrain that accommodates both walking and running speeds, making it accessible for all participants. After the event, enjoy the camaraderie at Dennis Playhouse where post-race refreshments are provided.
This year’s commemorative long-sleeve shirts come in a variety of sizes to fit runners comfortably: Youth Large, Women's Small through XX-Large, and Men's Medium through XX-Large. Shirts can be purchased separately or as part of sponsorship packages that range from $100 for road signs along the race route up to Gold Level sponsorships at $1000+, which include a large logo on shirts and five free registrations.
