An Res Hellys

An Res Hellys is a scenic 16km multi-terrain run that winds through the charming town of Helston and the picturesque National Trust Penrose Estate. As part of the Cornwall Grand Prix Road Racing Series, this fourth race offers runners an exhilarating journey across varied terrain, from lush woodlands to open fields.
Registration for An Res Hellys opens on October 23, 2026, at noon, with participants collecting their race numbers between 8:15 and 9:30 AM the day of the event. The run starts promptly at 10 AM from the Old Cattle Market in Helston.
Parking is limited near the start/finish line, so carpooling is encouraged to minimize traffic congestion. Marshals will be stationed around the Fairground car park to assist runners and manage parking areas efficiently.
The route itself features diverse landscapes, challenging participants with rolling hills and varied terrain that showcase Cornwall's natural beauty. Runners must adhere strictly to safety guidelines; personal audio devices are banned for health and safety reasons, ensuring all competitors can hear instructions from marshals and remain aware of their surroundings at all times.
Race HQ is located in the Old Cattle Market where toilets and a Lakeside Café offering refreshments will be available post-race. While there are no changing rooms or showers on-site, extra toilet facilities are provided behind the café for added convenience.
