The ALOHA TRI Traun, the second major highlight of Upper Austria's triathlon scene following the successful ALOHA TRI Linz event, promises an unforgettable experience for athletes and spectators alike. This year’s edition takes place on July 31, 2027. One of the unique features of this race is its innovative use of a public ice rink as both the transition zone and finish line area. The ice rink in Traun serves not only as an iconic venue but also as a central hub for all participants and fans to gather and celebrate their achievements. This strategic choice transforms what could be a typical triathlon event into something truly special, offering athletes a distinctive setting to showcase their skills. The ALOHA SPORT Flexi Option is another highlight of the race package. Athletes can now shift their start date without providing reasons up until two weeks before the scheduled event and move it to the following year once. This flexibility allows participants more freedom in planning for this exciting competition. Competitors have a variety of options available, including open water swimming events, running competitions, sprint distances, and Olympic distances. Each category is designed to cater to different levels of experience and fitness among athletes, ensuring that there’s something engaging for everyone involved. The ALOHA TRI Traun also features a dedicated youth competition, encouraging the next generation of triathletes to participate and gain valuable racing experience in a supportive environment. With its unique venue and comprehensive range of events, the ALOHA TRI Traun is set to be an inspiring day filled with camaraderie, challenge, and celebration.
