AlbaTrail - 10ème édition

L’AlbaTrail returns to the rolling hills of Tarn, offering runners and hikers an immersive experience through some of France’s most scenic landscapes on February 21, 2026. This multi-discipline race calendar includes four trail running events and two walking routes, all sanctioned by the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme (FFA) for Tarn.
The flagship event is "L'Alba Tor," a grueling 61-kilometer trek that challenges participants with over 2,900 meters of elevation gain. Starting early in the morning at Alban, this mixed-gender race welcomes runners aged 20 and above, both licensed athletes and casual enthusiasts alike.
For those seeking a more moderate challenge, "L'Alba Trail" offers a trail run spanning 26 kilometers with approximately 1,300 meters of elevation. This event also begins in the afternoon at Alban on February 21st, inviting runners from various backgrounds to test their endurance against an equally scenic yet less demanding course.
The day's offerings extend beyond traditional running distances with "L'Alba Trailhou," a shorter trail run covering 14 kilometers and featuring around 500 meters of elevation gain. Open to participants aged 16 or older, this race starts in the early afternoon at Alban, providing an accessible yet engaging option for runners looking to experience the terrain without committing to longer distances.
The shortest running event is "L'Alba Trailhounet," a trail run that covers just 8 kilometers and includes approximately 250 meters of elevation. Ideal for younger athletes aged 16 or older, this race also departs from Alban in the afternoon on February 21st, presenting an excellent introduction to competitive trail running.
For those preferring a more leisurely pace, "L'Alba Marche" offers two Nordic walking routes: one covering 11 kilometers with about 360 meters of elevation gain and another at 8.5 kilometers with approximately 300 meters of elevation. Both walks are open to individuals aged 12 or older (with parental consent), providing a family-friendly alternative that emphasizes enjoyment over competition.
All events share the same starting point and finish line at Puech Sabatié Stadium in Alban, where participants can access showers and restrooms within the municipal gymnasium after completing their respective courses. The trails are clearly marked to ensure easy navigation for all competitors, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience regardless of distance or pace.
L’AlbaTrail caters to runners and hikers alike with its diverse range of events, each offering an opportunity to explore the picturesque landscapes around Alban while testing personal limits in a supportive community setting.
