The Knysna Toyota 7Passes MTB race on January 2, 2027, offers gravel and e-bike enthusiasts an exhilarating journey through the scenic landscapes between George and Knysna. The main route of 76km kicks off at dawn from the open grass area in front of Wilderness Hotel with batch starts beginning at 07:30 AM. Registration for this event is available on January 1, 2027, both in Knysna at The Farm and in George at Trail Kiosk.
The route winds through diverse terrain, crossing ten rivers and seven gorges while passing the quaint village of Rheenendal, rich with history from its brief gold rush era. Riders will experience a mix of challenging climbs and serene descents before reaching their final stretch into Knysna via the iconic red bridge and along the N2 highway.
For those seeking a shorter adventure, the 38km route starts in Karatara at Highlands Cash Store on January 2nd with a start time of 09:30 AM. Both routes offer stunning vistas and historic landmarks, making this an unforgettable cycling experience.
Upon crossing the finish line back at The Farm venue, participants can enjoy their complimentary lunch while spectators partake in specially prepared menus to celebrate alongside riders. A pump track on-site keeps younger cyclists entertained as adults unwind with a cold beer from Ga.
