61st Tsuchiura Marathon (第61回土浦マラソン)

On December 6, 2026, runners of all ages are invited to participate in a diverse range of races that cater to both families and individual competitors. The highlight for middle school students is the team relay race covering 3 kilometers. Teams must consist of at least five members, with rankings determined by the combined times of the top five participants from each squad.
For younger runners and their parents, there's an engaging 1-kilometer family event designed specifically for first and second graders paired with a parent or guardian. Participants in this category will receive commemorative T-shirts as a token of appreciation for taking part.
Entry fees vary depending on the race distance: the cost is ¥3000 for both the 5km run and the 1km family event, while those choosing to compete in either the 3km, 2km or 1km races will pay ¥2000. This inclusive day offers a mix of competitive spirit and fun-filled activities that celebrate running as a family-friendly sport.
The scenic course features a variety of terrain suitable for all levels of runners, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Whether you're looking to challenge yourself in the longer distances or enjoy a shorter run with your child, this event promises something special for each participant.
