5th South Nanhu Lake Trail Challenge 2026 (2026（第五届）南太湖越野挑战赛)

The 2026 Fifth Annual Nanhu Lake Trail Challenge is set to take place on Sunday, November 8th, starting at 7:00 AM from the Moon Square in South Nanhu New Area of Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. With a total capacity of 900 participants, this event offers three distinct categories designed for runners with varying levels of experience and ambition.
The most demanding route is the 40 Kilometer Infinite Challenge course, which accommodates up to 300 athletes. The actual distance covered in this category is 39.5 kilometers, featuring a cumulative elevation gain of 2145 meters. Participants will set off at 7:00 AM and have until 5:00 PM to complete the race within the ten-hour time limit.
For those seeking a more moderate challenge, there's the 28 Kilometer纵横弁山组 (Zhongheng Bianshan Course) with an actual distance of 27.5 kilometers and a total elevation gain of 1141 meters. This route starts at 7:30 AM on November 8th, allowing runners seven hours to reach the finish line by 2:30 PM.
The event also includes a family-friendly option in the form of the 5 Kilometer Lakeview Run, suitable for both recreational and competitive runners alike. With an actual distance of just under five kilometers at 4.7 kilometers and a modest elevation gain of 152 meters, this course begins at 8:30 AM on race day with participants having two hours to complete the run by 10:30 AM.
Each category promises stunning views across Nanhu Lake's picturesque landscape while navigating through diverse terrains that include trails winding around hills and along scenic lakeshore paths.
