55. Forstwalder Silvesterlauf 2026

Join the 55th Forstwalder Silvesterlauf on December 31, 2026, at Krefeld-Forstwald's Eichenallee. Registration for start numbers begins at 10:30 AM at the Sporthalle attached to Forstwaldschule, located at Bellenweg 50, 47804 Krefeldorf. Please bring your confirmation of registration.
The event features three races:
- Jedermann-Lauf: Approximately 4,100 meters with a start time of 1:15 PM for runners in youth categories (U14) and open classes.

- Top-Lauf: Around 8,100 meters starting at 2:00 PM for participants aged from U18 to senior levels. Both races conclude within 40 minutes.
- Genuss-Lauf: Also covering about 8,100 meters but beginning at 3:00 PM for the same age groups as the Top-Lauf and features no time limit.
Awards include trophies for all youth categories in the Jedermann race and two Wanderpokals awarded to the fastest female and male runners. Certificates can be printed on-site or online after the event.

The course begins near Forstwaldschule along Eichenallee before heading towards the Restaurant Forsthaus via a long straight stretch, then turning left onto the park's two-kilometer loop circuit which must be completed once and a half for race one and three and a half times for races two and three. The finish line is back at Eichenallee near the school.
Participants should expect limited on-site parking; additional spaces are available at Krefeld-Forsthaus train station or next to Maria Waldrast church. Strictly observe no-parking zones around Plückertzstraße / Bellenweg intersections to allow bus passage.
The event adheres to DLO regulations and is sanctioned by the LVN. No strollers or dogs allowed in any race due to safety concerns. By signing up, runners agree their personal data may be used for timing purposes, results publication, and photography/filming without compensation during the event.
