4. Obertauern Trailrun Summit (OTS)

The 4th Sanct Bernhard Sport Obertauern Trailrun Summit (OTS) is set to take place on July 9, 2027, offering runners of all levels an unforgettable high-alpine adventure. Organized by passionate trail enthusiasts and nature lovers, this event features eight races that wind through the stunning Eastern Alps around Obertauern.
New for 2027, participants will start and finish at parking lot P5 of the Gamsleitenbahn, located just below the Radstädter Tauern Pass. This new setup ensures a safer race environment by avoiding busy roads near the finish line. The event kicks off on Friday with the challenging Seekarspitz Vertical 5K, featuring steep climbs and breathtaking views.
Saturday's lineup includes six races ranging from the grueling Extreme 100 Trail (8 Summits) at 108 kilometers to the more accessible HOCHALM Easy Trail covering just under ten kilometers. Each race offers unique terrain with technical challenges that cater to both seasoned runners and newcomers alike, all while showcasing panoramic vistas of untouched alpine landscapes.
On Sunday, families are invited to participate in the SEEKARHAUS AND KRINGSALM Family Trail, a non-competitive event where participants can enjoy scenic trails at their own pace. This relaxed atmosphere allows everyone from young children to grandparents to experience the joy and camaraderie of trail running without pressure or competition.
The OTS is part of several prestigious organizations including iTRA National League Austria 2027 and UTMB Index Race, ensuring that all events are certified for runners seeking recognition in global rankings. With its commitment to enhancing participant experiences through improved facilities and extended cut-off times, the 4th Sanct Bernhard Sport Obertauern Trailrun Summit promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of Austria's Eastern Alps.
