3ª CORRIDA DE SÃO JOSE

On January 31, 2027, Rio Negrinho will host the third edition of the São José Run, an event designed to promote healthy habits and encourage community participation in athletics. The race offers distances of 5km and 10km for runners alongside a 3km walk option for those preferring a less intense activity.
The starting line is set at Seminário São José on Rua do Seminário, where participants will gather early to collect their kits from 4:30 AM until the race begins. The 10km event kicks off promptly at 6:30 AM, followed by the 5km run at 6:40 AM.
The course itself winds through Rio Negrinho's scenic streets and landmarks, providing runners with a taste of local culture and history as they challenge themselves against the clock. Water stations are strategically placed along both routes to ensure participants stay hydrated throughout their journey.
After crossing the finish line, athletes can look forward to an awards ceremony starting at 8:30 AM where top performers will be recognized for their achievements in various categories. The event is organized by CJR Academia and Events with adherence to IAAF rules and guidelines set forth by the Brazilian Athletics Confederation (CBAt) and the Santa Catarina Athletics Federation.
Inscriptions are open from September 1, 2026, on chiprun.com.br and ticketsports, as well as at Seminário São José. The registration period ends either January 22, 2027, or when the technical limit of 800 participants is reached, ensuring a manageable yet vibrant atmosphere for all involved.
This event promises to be an inspiring day filled with camaraderie and personal accomplishment in one of Brazil's most charming towns.
