31st Okinawa Marathon [Registration on 2/20 (Sat)] (第31回2027おきなわマラソン【2/20（土）受付】)

Experience an early taste of spring on the lush islands of Okinawa with this unique running event! The race course takes you through historical sites and vibrant landscapes, including a breathtaking view of the UNESCO World Heritage site Shurijo Castle ruins. A standout feature is that runners get to traverse inside U.S. military camps, making it one of Japan's most distinctive certified courses.
The route offers unbroken cheers from enthusiastic spectators along its entire length, creating an incredibly supportive atmosphere for participants. At nine designated aid stations, locals serve up specialties and treats unique to each of the region’s towns and villages, offering a delicious taste of Okinawan hospitality.
In addition to the 42.195km full marathon, there are also 10km and 4.2195km race options for runners of all levels. The event is complemented by the Chubu Kwachii (feast) Festival, adding cultural performances and festivities to enhance your experience.
The Okinawa Marathon offers a special spectator-run option as well, allowing supporters who can't participate in the main races to join at designated points along the course for an additional fee.
