2027 The Wallings Ice Cream "Thumbs Up for Charlie" Fun Run

Join the Wallings Ice Cream Thumbs Up For Charlie Run on September 2, 2027 at 6:00 PM for an evening dedicated to community and charity. This special run is designed to raise awareness and funds for families affected by pediatric brain tumours through the support of Thumbs Up For Charlie.
The event features a friendly atmosphere suitable for all abilities, from experienced runners to casual joggers and walkers alike. Participants will enjoy a 4.4-mile route that winds through scenic areas around Cockerham, providing an engaging experience both physically and emotionally.
Upon crossing the finish line, every runner is rewarded with a commemorative medal as well as a free ice cream treat provided by Wallings Ice Cream Parlour. The event not only celebrates physical activity but also underscores the importance of coming together to support those in need.
Thumbs Up For Charlie was established in memory of brave 5-year-old Charlie who fought an ependymoma brain tumour for three years. Through their work, they provide respite breaks and opportunities for families dealing with childhood brain tumours to create special memories or simply take time to reflect during challenging times.
Participants can make a voluntary donation as part of their entry fee to support this incredible cause and contribute to the ongoing efforts of Thumbs Up For Charlie in providing essential services to affected families.
Join us on September 2, 2027 for an evening that combines physical activity with meaningful community engagement.
