Set against the stunning backdrop of Northern California's coastal redwoods, the Muir Woods Trail Run promises an unforgettable journey through nature’s lush wilderness. On May 8, 2027, runners will gather at Stinson Beach to embark on a challenging yet rewarding adventure.
The race begins with a brief moment at sea level before ascending into the heart of Muir Woods National Monument. As you start your climb up the legendary Dipsea trail, prepare for an ascent that tests both endurance and agility. The route features steep climbs over wooden ladders, natural rock formations, and winding staircases that wind their way through dense forest cover.
Throughout the course, runners will be treated to the serene sounds of babbling brooks and cascading waterfalls, complemented by the fresh scent of towering redwoods and oaks. These elements create a tranquil yet invigorating atmosphere as you push forward towards your summit.
Once at the peak, breathtaking panoramic views await, offering a momentary pause for reflection before descending back to Stinson Beach. The descent itself is equally scenic but requires careful navigation due to its technical nature.
With only 300 spots available, this event provides an exclusive opportunity to experience one of California’s most iconic natural settings while pushing your limits on challenging terrain.
