About the event
On Saturday, May 29, 2027, Chicago's Soldier Field is set to host its 23rd annual Memorial Day run, honoring service members who have made sacrifices for our nation. Participants can choose between a challenging 10K or the more ambitious 10-mile course as they navigate through the city’s iconic streets.
The event kicks off with a poignant ceremony featuring taps and military honors to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in defense of freedom. This reflective beginning sets the tone for an emotionally charged day, blending athletic competition with deep respect for fallen heroes.
Runners will experience Chicago's vibrant atmosphere as they pass through bustling neighborhoods and historic landmarks, offering both scenic beauty and a sense of community spirit. The Soldier Field 10 promises to be more than just a race; it is a moving tribute that celebrates the enduring legacy of those who serve.

About Chicago
Learn more about the host city, Chicago.
Chicago is the home of the blues and the truth of jazz, the heart of comedy and the idea of the skyscraper. Here, the age of railroads found its center, and airplanes followed suit. "Stormy, Husky, Brawling / City of Big Shoulders," Chicago is a Heartland boomtown, its ethos defined by urban planner Daniel Burnham's immortal vision: "Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men's blood." It is one of the world's great cities and the third largest city in the United States, behind only New York City and Los Angeles.
