2027 Crystal Lake Half Marathon & 12K

The 7th Annual Crystal Lake Half Marathon & 12K is set to take place on Sunday, September 5, 2027. This scenic race offers runners the chance to explore the picturesque landscapes of Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Starting at Main Beach, participants will embark on a loop around Lippold Park and enjoy views of the historic Dole Mansion before heading down the Prairie Path. The route then winds through downtown Crystal Lake, where all finishers are greeted with cheers from spectators and local residents alike.
The event features two distances: a half marathon (13.1 miles) that begins at 7:30 AM and a 12K race (7.44 miles), starting just moments later at 8:00 AM. Both races finish together, allowing all participants to celebrate their achievements as one community.
Runners will be shuttled from the downtown area to the start line in under five minutes for an easy transition. Warm-up areas are available both inside buildings and on the beach, ensuring comfort regardless of weather conditions.
