Participants will have a chance to raise funds for their local Salvation Army branch through an easy-to-use online platform that simplifies the registration process this year. All runners and walkers register under one category: "Individual – 5K Fun Run / 1K Elf Walk," making it straightforward and accessible for everyone, regardless of age or experience level.
As a participant in Sudbury’s Santa Shuffle, you’ll receive an official race bib along with a unique finisher's medal and Christmas Tree Ornament to commemorate your achievement. The event promises tons of fun, bringing together friends, family, and the entire community under one festive banner.
New for 2026 is the introduction of Holiday Hope Champions: participants who fundraise will be recognized as champions in their efforts to support vital local work by raising funds for practical assistance and compassionate care within communities. Early supporters can look forward to exclusive rewards such as limited edition items based on fundraising milestones:
- Raise $50 or more and get a Santa Shuffle Buff/Neck Gaiter.
- Raise $150 (or $100 for youth) and receive an exclusive Santa Shuffle Toque.
- Be among the first 500 participants across Canada to raise $500 or more, earning you a limited edition Hoodie.
The Salvation Army will provide donors with donation confirmations online and issue official tax receipts for contributions over $20. Discounts are automatically applied during registration:
- Youth (18 years old and under) and seniors (65+): receive a $10 discount.
- Group discounts: 4–9 participants get a 10% discount, while groups of 10 or more enjoy a 15% reduction.
