2026 LaVerkin City Winterfest 5K & 10K Race

Experience the LaVerkin twist on December 5, 2026, with an exhilarating 10K course that takes runners through stunning landscapes. The race begins and ends at Wanlass Park, located at 320 N Main St., offering a picturesque backdrop for this challenging event. Runners will start by heading north along Main Street before turning right onto Highway 9. After traveling on the highway until reaching LaVerkin Look off road, they'll make another turn to navigate through half a mile of dirt and gravel terrain. The first half is an uphill climb that tests endurance against breathtaking views of the Pine Valley Mountains.
The return journey provides relief as runners speed down the hill back towards Wanlass Park. Alongside this scenic route, participants can enjoy a less intense 5K loop around LaVerkin's east side, also showcasing incredible mountain vistas. Both races come with mandatory waivers signed at packet pick-up on Friday, December 4th from 5-8 pm or Saturday morning before the race starts.
Race day activities include a treasure hunt in Wanlass Park and warm-ups beginning at 8:40 am for participants to prepare themselves. The event kicks off promptly at 9:00 am with registration fees varying based on when you sign up, encouraging early enrollment. All runners will receive long-sleeve tech shirts as part of their race package, ensuring comfort throughout the run. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to challenge yourself while immersed in natural beauty!
