1852 Swimrun 2027

Join us on August 7, 2027, for the exhilarating return to Dragsö Island with the 1852 Swimrun event. This year’s edition builds upon last year's success by adding fresh rules and experiences that promise an even more thrilling competition.
The race kicks off at Havsviken Restaurant on Dragsö at 8:00 AM, where participants will embark from right outside the restaurant towards the island's beautiful beach. The course is a challenging loop of approximately 1852 meters, featuring three running sections and two swimming legs that are each about 170 meters long.
Swimrunners compete in solo classes with strict time limits; teams must complete their circuit within 18 minutes and 52 seconds to continue. Every fourth round sees a sprint prize awarded to the first team across the finish line, adding an extra layer of excitement. The competition runs until either 6:52 PM or when only two racers remain for a final showdown.
For those who prefer a less competitive atmosphere, there's also a recreational/teen category with relaxed time constraints but no sprint prizes available. Both classes share the same scenic course that winds through Dragsö’s winding trails and past its charming camping area.
The event takes place amidst Karlskrona's Skärgårdsfest maritime festival, ensuring an unbeatably festive atmosphere before, during, and after the race. Participants can enjoy the island setting with picturesque views of the Baltic Sea, making it a memorable day for all involved.
