Join us for an exciting Saturday session designed specifically for young and enthusiastic riders aged 10-16 years old. While the primary focus is on intermediate-level participants, younger cyclists are welcome to join after we assess their skill level. The morning begins at 11am with a high-energy start, followed by a brief break around noon. We encourage all attendees to bring along a drink and snack for refueling during breaks throughout the session. Whether you choose to book in advance or simply drop by on the day, both options are available; however, pre-booking ensures your spot is secure. If booking online, please make sure to use your child's name rather than yours when registering. Additionally, if your child is a member of HHYCC (Hillside Happy Youth Cycling Club), they will enjoy a £2 discount on their registration fee. Our club relies heavily on volunteers who contribute in various roles such as event registration, bike maintenance, and coaching. If you're interested in getting involved to support our youth riders, we would love for you to reach out—we operate all volunteer teams on a rotating basis. This session is an excellent opportunity for young cyclists to enhance their skills while enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded peers under the guidance of experienced coaches and mentors. Southwark is a district of Central London situated on the south bank of the River Thames, forming the north-western part of the wider modern London Borough of Southwark. The district, which is the oldest part of South London, developed due to its position at the southern end of the early versions of London Bridge, for centuries the only dry crossing on the river. Around 43 AD, engineers of the Roman Empire found the geographic features of the south bank here suitable for the placement and construction of the first bridge.
