10 Km des Herbiers 2026

On September 20, 2026, the vibrant town of Les Herbiers in Vendée will host the fourth edition of its popular 10K race. Organized by the Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers and ABV Les Herbiers athletics club, this event promises a day filled with energy and fun for runners of all levels.
The official FFA-measured course is not only an exciting challenge but also serves as qualification for the 2027 French Championship. This year's highlight includes a new addition to the lineup: the "5K en Folie." This festive race encourages participants to dress up in creative costumes, adding a playful twist to the day’s activities.
Race Day kicks off with the 5K fun run at 9:00 AM followed by the main event, the 10K race starting promptly at 10:00 AM. Elite runners are invited to compete for special start times in both categories—men under 35 minutes and women under 40 minutes.
The day also features a series of children’s races beginning from 11:45 AM, ensuring that young athletes have the chance to participate alongside their parents or guardians.
All proceeds collected during this event will be donated to "Un Pas Pour Maddy," an organization dedicated to raising awareness about Gliome Infiltrant du Tronc Cérébral (GITC), supporting medical research, and fostering hope for a better future for affected children.
Participants can pick up their race numbers at Décathlon Les Herbiers on Saturday, September 19 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM or directly before the start of the races on Sunday morning from 7:45 AM to 9:45 AM.
The event takes place in a lively setting with departures and finishes at the local fire station. Additional services such as showers, food trucks offering crepes and galettes, and refreshments are available nearby within walking distance.
For those interested in securing their spot early, discounted registration is open until September 14th on the event website (www.10kmdesherbiers.fr). Handisport participants will also be accommodated with joëlettes and wheelchairs permitted.
The day concludes with podium presentations for both races around noon, where top finishers receive their well-deserved awards and prizes. A raffle is held at the end of each race offering a variety of exciting gifts to all participants.
