The route winds through picturesque villages like Cilone, Tre Casuzze, Monachella, and Fortugno, each offering glimpses into traditional Italian life with their dry-stone walls and charming hamlets.
As you approach the city of Ragusa, prepare for an ascent to its historic upper town, Ragusa Nuova. The course features a challenging climb at kilometer 38 along Via XI Febbraio, culminating in views of UNESCO-listed monuments such as Palazzo Cosentini and the Church of Santa Maria delle Scale.
The race concludes with a flourish on Piazza Duomo, rewarding runners for their efforts with local culinary delights. Indulge in Cadurra bread and Caciocavallo DOP Ragusano cheese, two regional specialties that perfectly complement your post-race recovery.
