Naturosa Catania Marathon
About the event
Experience the thrill of running in Catania, with the majestic Etna on one side and the sparkling Sicilian coast on the other. The Catania Marathon offers three distances for all levels: the full marathon (42 km), the half marathon (21 km), and a 10.5 km race, perfect for amateur runners and outdoor sports enthusiasts.
The circuit course starts on Viale Kennedy at Lido Verde and stretches along the coast towards Siracusa, passing iconic city spots before returning to the finish line. Each distance consists of multiple laps of the circuit: one for the 10.5 km, two for the half marathon, and four for the full marathon, allowing participants to enjoy the city and scenery at their own pace.
An event that combines sport, breathtaking landscapes, and the charm of a historic and lively city, turning the run into an unforgettable experience between sea and mountain.

About Catania
Learn more about the host city, Catania.
Catania is a city of 310,000 people (2019) on the eastern coast of Sicily at the foot of Mount Etna, the biggest volcano in Europe. It is the second largest city in Sicily with the metropolitan area reaching one million inhabitants, a major transport hub, economic centre and a university city where you will enjoy a busy downtown and an active nightlife. Catania is also well known for its particular baroque architecture and urban design, consequences of the great earthquake of 1693 after which the city had to be rebuilt, like most of eastern Sicily.
