Nikkan Sports Cup 12th EXPO Relay Marathon Japan Championships in Expo Commemoration Park (日刊スポーツ杯　第12回EXPOリレーマラソン日本選手権 IN 万博記念公園)

Now in its 12th edition, the EXPO Relay Marathon Japan Championships is held in Expo Commemoration Park in Suita, Osaka, and has become known among runners as the race that decides Japan's top relay marathon team. Teams relay the 42.195 km distance around a 2 km loop in the park. Solo runners can take on 10 km or 4 km, and a family marathon of 2 km is open to parents and children, with each group including at least one elementary school pupil or younger and running the distance together.
The organizing committee describes the event as a chance for running friends to meet, for citizens to improve their health, for colleagues and families to grow closer and for the park to be livened up. It also hopes to raise interest in environmental issues and nature conservation.
