Mezza maratona classica Monson Memorial e 5 km

La corsa su strada Monson Memorial Classic è stata iniziata nel 1996, poco dopo la morte di Kelly Waldron e Kathy Waldron Perry. Queste sorelle morirono a otto mesi di distanza l'una dall'altra a causa di diversi tipi di cancro. Kathy soffriva di melanoma e Kelly aveva un cancro al seno, alle ossa e al fegato. Erano persone meravigliose e amorevoli. Questa gara è nella loro memoria e i proventi passati sono andati all'American Cancer Association of Western Mass, all'American Lung Association, al Quaboag Valley Hospice e alla Make-A-Wish Foundation. Quest'anno doneremo il ricavato agli Amici di Griffin.

Griffin's Friends è stata fondata nel 1994 a Springfield, MA e prende il nome in onore di Griffin Kelleher, che perse la sua coraggiosa battaglia contro il cancro all'età di 14 mesi.
