Kilcunda Running Festival 2027

Nestled just an hour and a half from Melbourne along the scenic Bass Highway, Kilcunda beckons trail runners to immerse themselves in some of Victoria's most captivating coastal terrain. This picturesque town serves as the gateway to Philip Island, Inverloch, Wonthaggi, and beyond—perfect for post-run exploration.
The race route winds through rolling grassy slopes dotted with grazing cattle, leading you onto pristine sandy beaches where waves crash against the shore. As runners tackle challenging hills, they are rewarded with breathtaking views of cliffs that plunge into the Southern Ocean below. The lush green fields provide a stark contrast to rugged coastlines, creating an ever-changing landscape that keeps participants engaged and inspired.
The event's basecamp is situated in a serene nature reserve directly across from Kilcunda’s charming Ocean View Hotel on Bass Highway. This central location offers runners easy access not only to the race start but also to additional amenities like dining options and accommodation for those looking to make it an extended adventure.
Whether you're seeking a challenging run or simply want to enjoy Victoria's natural beauty, this trail running event at Kilcunda promises an unforgettable experience in one of Australia’s most scenic regions.
