Zilker Relays

The Zilker Relays returns to Austin on September 10, 2027, at the vibrant heart of Zilker Park. This unique relay race invites teams of four runners to tackle a scenic 10-mile course by completing four 2.5 mile loops around a central festival area. The event is designed for all levels of fitness and running experience, making it an inclusive celebration that combines competition with community spirit.
Each participant will gather at the transition zone where they can enjoy live music from local bands, tasty food from Tacodeli, and refreshing drinks provided by various sponsors. This year’s edition promises to be a memorable one as teams race through picturesque routes in Zilker Park while spectators cheer them on along the way.
Registration includes entry for your team of four into this spirited relay event, post-race dinner courtesy of Tacodeli, and access to exclusive drink offers from select sponsors. The evening culminates with an after-party at a legendary venue within the park where runners can unwind and enjoy more music and festivities.
In addition to these perks, top-performing teams will receive custom awards, adding an extra layer of excitement for those looking to push their limits on race day. Each team member also gets a Zilker Relays t-shirt, ensuring everyone leaves with tangible memories from the event.
The Zilker Relays is more than just a run; it’s a community gathering where participants and supporters come together to celebrate health, fitness, and camaraderie in Austin's vibrant park setting. All proceeds support Marathon Kids, an Austin-based nonprofit dedicated to helping children across the country embrace the joy of physical activity.
Join us on September 10 for this unforgettable running party that promises fun, food, music, and a sense of community unlike any other race experience.
