About the Event

Celebrate the 108th anniversary of Poland's independence on November 8, 2026, at the XIV Independence Run in Wiśniew. The day promises to be filled with sporting spirit and patriotic fervor as participants gather for a scenic run along a picturesque 6 km route.
Registration is open now with entry fees set at PLN 30 for children and PLN 50 for adults. With space limited to just 200 spots, early registration is advised. The event kicks off bright and early on Sunday morning, offering participants the chance to pay their respects during a wreath-laying ceremony near the Independence Monument around 9:45 AM.
The children's races begin promptly at 10:00 AM with various distances catering to different age groups, including a 200m run for kindergarten-aged kids and an 800m race for older youth. Following these exciting events is the main attraction - a 6 km open race followed by Nordic Walking.
Participants can enjoy a restorative meal after completing their respective races, ensuring everyone has time to refuel before heading home or sticking around to see who takes top honors in both categories during the awards ceremony at noon and 12:30 PM respectively. This event is not only about athletic competition but also serves as an opportunity for community bonding and honoring Poland's rich history.
