X Maratón Clandestino

On December 20, 2026, the tenth edition of the Clandestine Marathon takes place in Campo de Criptana, Ciudad Real. The race starts and finishes at the iconic windmills with runners setting off from there at 9:00 AM sharp. Organized by Ray Naranjo since its inception, this year's event also features support from the local club Criptana Vertical.
The course offers a unique flexibility, allowing participants to choose their distance based on personal preference or challenge level. The route measures 10.5 kilometers and can be completed once for a shorter run, twice for an endurance test, three times for a more ambitious goal, or four full loops totaling the marathon distance of approximately 42 kilometers.
At various points along the course, there are options to turn back halfway if needed, providing runners with multiple distances such as 5 km, 15 km, 25 km, and 35 km. This makes it an ideal event for those looking to push their limits beyond regular training routines while enjoying a scenic morning among fellow enthusiasts.
The setting of Campo de Criptana’s windmills adds charm and character to the race experience, making this marathon not just about running but also about immersing in local culture and history.
