World Masters Mountain Running Championships 2027

Nestled among the breathtaking mountain vistas of Klosters, Switzerland, the World Masters Mountain Running Championships 2027 promises an unforgettable experience for trail runners from around the globe. The championship will feature disciplines such as uphill, long distance, and up-downhill races on challenging yet scenic trails.
Klosters has a well-established reputation in hosting high-quality mountain and trail running events, thanks to its successful Madrisa Trail Klosters race held annually since many years past. For those interested in exploring the terrain before the main event, the 2026 edition of the Madrisa Trail offers an ideal opportunity to familiarize themselves with the challenging yet picturesque trails.
The region's credentials as a premier destination for international masters sporting events were further solidified by hosting the 2025 Cross-Country Masters World Cup. This year’s championship is set against the stunning backdrop of Graubünden, where runners will encounter varied routes that wind through lush forests and over rugged mountain passes.
Participants can anticipate an enriching experience with its mix of technical trails and breathtaking scenery. The event promises not only a competitive challenge but also an immersive journey into the heart of Swiss alpine culture and natural beauty.
