About the Event

Winter Step One Loop returns on December 20, 2026, inviting runners of all ages and abilities to experience the festive spirit through running. Participants can register until noon on Saturday, December 19th for individual entries or up to Sunday, December 13th for group registrations.
This year's event offers a unique opportunity for participants in the 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances to receive an additional medal at no extra cost beyond the registration fee. For those choosing this option, there is a small charge of €3 per runner. The two-kilometer race exclusively for children up to age 13 comes with a complimentary medal.
The event features staggered start times designed to accommodate different distance categories and ensure smooth flow throughout the course:
- Frame runners, participants in both the 5 km and 10 km races, as well as those competing in the half marathon will begin at 11:00 AM.
- The second wave starts with a five-minute delay for half marathoners and then moves on to the 10-kilometer racegoers at approximately 11:05 AM.
- Following closely is the start of the shorter 5 km run, kicking off precisely at 11:10 AM.
- The youngest participants in the two-kilometer youth category will have their moment with a starting time set for 11:15 AM.
The Winter Step One Loop promises an engaging and enjoyable day out amidst winter scenery. With various distances catering to different levels of fitness, it’s perfect whether you’re looking for a family-friendly outing or aiming to push your limits on the course.
For more detailed information about registration procedures and additional services such as medal options, interested participants are encouraged to contact event organizers via email at [email protected].
