Winter Short Track Mountain Bike Series

Get ready for the 24th edition of the KASK Winter Short Track Series p/b Audi Charlotte & CITGO, set to take place at Renaissance Park on January 17, 2027. This exciting series features five races over six weeks, offering a thrilling blend of BMX, cyclo-cross, and single-track racing on a fast-paced 1.3-mile trail that promises both speed and spectator engagement. Participants will race between four to eight laps depending on their category, with the event atmosphere enhanced by food trucks, live music, and professional photography at each session.
The series concludes with an awards ceremony where top performers in each age group are celebrated during a podium presentation for the overall winners. Junior racers have the flexibility to compete up one age division but not down; adults can race down an age category but not up. Those turning 19 in 2027 will register as adult competitors.
Adding another layer of excitement is the return of the coveted Team Competition, where teams earn points based on a "Pack Points" system that rewards groups with higher representation within their racing categories. The top-performing team stands to win $700, while second place takes home $300 and third receives $175; fourth and fifth-place teams will also be rewarded.
Join the action at Renaissance Park for an unforgettable winter cycling experience!
