Wicked Fun Run and Fall Festival 2026

Join the fun-filled celebration as we welcome you to the 9th Annual Wicked Fun Run and Fall Festival, organized by the dedicated parents at Brown Elementary School PTO. This family-friendly event is set for October 25, 2026, offering a day packed with activities that cater to all ages.
The morning kicks off bright and early at 9:00 AM with the 50-meter Monster Dash, an exciting sprint designed exclusively for preschoolers through fourth graders. No registration fees are required, but donations of $5 will be appreciated on race day in support of school initiatives. Participants can look forward to receiving Halloween candy upon crossing the finish line.
Following a brief warm-up led by Boston Body Pilates at 9:15 AM, runners and walkers gather for the main event—the Wicked Fun Run starting promptly at 9:30 AM. This scenic 2-mile course weaves through the quiet Sherwood/Barnesdale neighborhood behind Brown Elementary School. Costumes are not mandatory but encouraged to add a festive touch to this spirited run.
Every participant will be assigned an official race bib and receive professional timing from Racewire, ensuring that all runners can track their performance accurately. Medals await every young finisher, while trophies go to the fastest male and female in each age group: K-1st graders, 2nd-3rd graders, 4th graders, middle/high school students, and adults.
The festivities continue with a Fall Festival from 10 AM until noon. This free event features an array of activities including pony rides, petting zoos, face painting stations, balloon artists, bounce houses, DJ dance parties, bake sales, pumpkin painting sessions, craft tables, games, and more. Local youth sports organizations will also be present to engage children in fun-filled events.
Participants are encouraged to register online before the deadline of Saturday, October 24 at 4 PM; however, on-site registration is available with cash or Venmo payments made directly to Brown PTO until race day morning.
Parking near Brown School will close by 9:10 AM for setup, so plan your arrival accordingly. The run takes place in a quiet neighborhood setting where runners are advised to stay right of the road and use sidewalks when possible due to limited traffic during this time.
Bib pick-up options include Friday from 3-4 PM at Brown School’s Back Door/Barnesdale Entrance or Saturday between 9:30 AM -10:30 AM at the Front Door. Race day registration is also available starting at 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM.
