WICKED FAST MARATHON & HALF MARATHON MONTANA

5.5 HOUR STRICT TIME LIMIT.  The Wicked Fast Marathon and Half Marathon in Montana, located in Livingston (also known as Yellowstone Country), is a USATF-sanctioned course that qualifies for the Boston Marathon. The marathon features a total net elevation drop of 1200 feet from the start to the finish. 

Is Montana the fastest course in the Wicked Fast Race Series? Nope—and we want to be upfront about that. But is it fast for Montana? Absolutely.

Wicked Fast Montana combines approximately 1,200 feet of net elevation drop with the incredible scenery of Paradise Valley. Along the way, expect some gentle rollers and approximately 40% gravel, so this isn't a straight-down-the-mountain race. It's a course that rewards smart pacing while still giving runners a nice overall downhill advantage.

There's another factor that makes Montana unique: altitude. You'll begin high in the mountains at approximately 5800 feet above sea level before descending into Paradise Valley and finishing around 4600 feet.
