About the Event

The Wheat City Run on Saturday, October 3, 2026, invites runners and community members of all ages to participate in the inaugural event at Dinsdale Park. Offering distances from a scenic 0.5 Mile Fun Run to the more challenging Half Marathon, this diverse race caters to both seasoned athletes and casual walkers.
Each route winds through Brandon’s picturesque urban landscapes, providing participants with an opportunity to experience the city's charm while contributing to local causes. The event supports Samaritan House Ministries by donating all profits towards food security and homelessness initiatives in Brandon.
Upon crossing the finish line, every participant will be honored with a commemorative medal and race shirt. Spectators are also welcome to enjoy a delicious $5 BBQ, proceeds from which benefit charity. This community-driven run encourages participants to "run local," support their city, and make meaningful changes through collective action.
Join us for an event that blends the joy of running with the spirit of giving back. Let's come together to create positive impact in our community.
